History

We were involved in Medical Missions and evangelism in Mexico and the United States, while we lived on the Mexican border in McAllen, Texas.  Carl also Pastored a church in La Feria, Texas 1990-1991.

We moved to Houston, Texas, and during the last four years, we have been involved in a church plant, numerous outreaches, evangelism, and ministry in the Houston, area.  We have also supported six missionaries from the Gospel For Asia.  Conducted Christmas outreaches in several housing projects, and supported various widows, orphans and brethren in need. 

In 2003 we started extensive door knocking and evangelism campaigns in several large apartment complexes in our area, in malls and later on college campuses where people gather.  We prayed for many people and passed out numerous tracts.  In 2003, 2004, and 2005 we put together Christmas gift bags containing;  Small toys, cookies, candy, Christian tracts, a practical gift for the parents, a New Testament, Bible comic books, Christian flyers and prayer request forms.  This led to contacts with several families and people in the housing projects. 

We also networked with, and Carl preached in several local churches, house churches and new church plants in our area and in McAllen, Texas.  We were also involved in several national and regional house church endeavors and organizations. 

During this time we were introduced to the Way of the Master, Evangelist Ray Comfort’s method and technique for presenting the gospel (www.wayofthemaster.com)  Using the Way of the Master,  we began to experience more success than we had previously known. 

We networked with Gene Keith and Javier Rodriguez who were leaders with the Houston Great News Network, GNN.  We became a part of GNN, and we have become much more effective in sharing our faith.  We witness at least one evening a week in the seedy and bar district of downtown Houston.  On many occasions we have led Muslims, Jehovah’s Witnesses, false converts, sinners, atheist, agnostics, street people, and worldly people claiming to be Christians, to Christ, and many of them have came under strong conviction about there own sinfulness and arrogance toward God. On many occasions believers in Christ, who had been duped into living a worldly lifestyle, were encountered in this bar district, and were placed under so much conviction over their sinful activities that  they repented, turned around, and went home, rather than continue in sin for another night.  

We also do outdoor street preaching (open air preaching) in this area which allows us to witness to dozens of people at the same time.  These organized evangelistic activities combined with  the evangelistic lifestyle which we have practiced for years, the discipleship of newer believers, networking with house churches, and pasturing a church plant in Houston / Humble, Texas, has greatly equipped us for ministry and missions.  On top of this we have worked hard and attended many Evangelism training courses, boot camps, mission training courses and seminars, conducted throughout the United States.
