Military Buildup

There is a military presence all around our camp. We don’t know if this is because of the NPA Communist Guerrillas (New Peoples Army) north of here, the Jihadist, the national elections and a rumored military coup, or an attempted coup against the president or even a rumored visit by President Arroyo. Either way we are inundated with constant movement and arrival of military personnel. We have soldiers camping in our backyard constantly and more arriving every day. They are friendly to us and they accept tracts and listen when I witness to them, etc. They either don’t know why their here (which I doubt) or they won’t say. This not meant to sound alarmist but it is the most activity we have ever had around here. The Filipino soldiers posed with Celina and the boys and let us photograph some of their vehicles, etc. Like most Filipinos they are a friendly bunch.
